To train the youth and provide them employment, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday launched Haryana Skill Development Mission’, joining the celebrations to mark first World Youth Skills Day on July 15, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Skill India’ campaign.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Haryana Skill Development Mission and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to establish multi-skill development centres to offer short-term courses and provide skill training and entrepreneurship to about 10,000 women in next two years.
Rs 1120cr outlay for developmental works
The executive committee of Sarv Sikskha Abhiyan on Tuesday approved an outlay of Rs 1120 crore for 2015-16 for successful implementation of the programme in the state. The approved outlay included fresh approvals for Rs 788 crore and spillover and committed liabilities of Rs 332 crore.
Rights courts in every district
Human Rights courts in every district : Haryana government has specified special courts in every districts of the state to try offences under the human rights Act. A decision in this regard has been taken by the state after consultation with the chief justice of Punjab and Haryana high court.
As per the decision, the court of second additional sessions judge, and if there is only one court of additional sessions judge, then first additional sessions judge in each district in the state, will function as a human rights court.
An official of administration of justice department said a notification in this regard has been issued.
