HYDERABAD: Human rights activists and a group of lawyers held a demonstration outside the press club here on Thursday in protest against the murder of an unarmed youth in Karachi by Rangers personnel.

Fazal Qadir Memon who led the protest condemned the murder and demanded arrest of the culprits.

Mr Memon demanded that the Rangers should be sent back to borders because they were already great burden on Sindh government`s resources.

Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi demanded that the Rangers personnel responsible for the murder should be awarded exemplary punishment.

He said in a statement that the murder was a result of giving unfettered power to Rangers.

He said that despite special powers, Rangers had failed to stem the tide of terrorism and target-killings.

Jamaat-i-Islami leader Shaikh Shoukat Ali and PPP-SB leaders Majeed Siyal, comrade Saleem Rajput and others have also condemned the murder.
