SAHR joins Afghan and international civil society organisations in urging the UN Human Rights Council and Member States to publicly condemn the Code, refrain from normalising relations with the Taliban absent concrete human rights benchmarks, strengthen international accountability mechanisms, support Afghan civil society and women human rights defenders, halt forced returns, and pursue justice through international and domestic accountability pathways.
